This is an image from a walk along the coast path and beach at Kippford as night was falling it was a very beautiful evening, the light was amazing dark and vividly bright all at the same time.

This print is looking out over the Solway Firth towards the Lakeland hills, just up from the beach at Sandy Hills.

I have recently been working on some monoprints using sketches and photos gathered on recent trips to the Scottish side of the Solway Coast.This print is based on the patterns the sea leaves in the sand around the rock pools when the tide is out.
